Financial Report - no change

Board Chair Report - The mule is available for pick-up and is used to groom the fields

Executive Director Report - no change

Committee Reports -

                    - Gaming Committee - the board is looking into holding raffles during tournaments and no longer getting back into pull tabs (open)

                    - Construction - $16,000 was granted to GHSA by the Bourough Assembly on 27 Mar 08.  The money will be used toward remoldeling the complex and other upgrades. (closed)

Old Business -

                    - Fashion Show - Thresa Quakenbush was on-hand to discuss the fashion show scheduled for June.  GHSA has agreed to create and post flyers and we will need to come up with door prizes for this event.  Ticket prices for the event are still being negotiated. (open)

                    - Tournament Prize Ideas - Members have agreed on cups, mugs, lanyards and pogs instead of the usual all expensive t-shirts.  Ideas include pogs exchanged for soda, cups and mugs filled with soda for the first round then at a cost for additional re-fills.

                    - Snack BarGHSA has hired Kate Marshall's toManaging the consessions stand. (closed)

                    - Field Maintenance - GHSA has hired Chris Mott to Manage the grounds and his duties will include the hiring of his staff. (closed)

                    - Marketing - We are looking into placing an add in the paper soliciting new members to join up and play ball this summer.  Also, possible Public Service Announcements on the radio for advertising as well.  There was a reminder that anyone can sponsor a tournament, doug-out, or field.  Prices are listed on the advertising flyer sent out in January. (open)

                    - Sign contracts and selling advertisement, rules and regulations - Play It Again sports has agreed to have a drop-off box at the front counter along with team packets and player's forms. (closed)

                    - Season II Winter Batting LeagueThere was discussion of running a ad for the winter batting cage leage during the summer months to make sure people are well aware of the league and to boost participation for next year. (closed)

                    - Playground - Lowe's has accepted our offer to assist in building the playground at the Hez Ray complex where the old batting cages used to be and will be on-hand during volunteer day.  (open)

                    - 2nd Annual Volunteer Day - Will be held 26 Apr 08 at 0900 until done.  We will need help painting, moving dirt, cleaning the storage space, tiling, and much, much more.  Lunch will be provided in exchange for manual labor. (open)

                   - General Membership Meeting Recap - Fundraiser ideas included a plaque in Gold, Silver and Bronze with your name on a name plate for donating a certain amount. 

New Business -

                    - Ultimate Frisbee - There will be an Ultimate Frisbee tournament 31 May - 1 June 08 at the Hez Ray complex and no tournaments will co-incide with this event.

                    - Food Permit and Business License -  We are working to renew our 08 State and City business license.

                    - Ground Rules - Home run rules have been set and are as follows: 

- Mens B - 4 and progressive 

- Mens C - 2 and progressive 

- Mens D - 1 and progressive 

- CoEd A/B - 3 and progressive 

- CoEd C - 2 and progressive 

- CoEd D - 1 and progressive 

                    - Sign-up Status - still open and currently we have 50 teams registered.  Schedule is projected to be produced 25 Apr 08

                    - State Union Tournament - GHSA we be hosting a tournament for the local union on 17 May 08.  All proceeds will benefit the GHSA.

                    - Job Fair - GHSA was invited to set up a booth at the Job Fair 22 Apr 08.  Jim Richardson will be representing the GHSA in search of potential Umpires, players and promoting the upcoming Fashion Show.
